Displaying: About Us | | Annie
Annie Peterson is a Kentucky native. For several years she
followed closely behind Laurie Kastor, a skilled and impressionable
horsewoman whose ability to communicate and fix problem horses
was far ahead of her
time. Laurie's gentle nature and genuine
appreciation for her horses was admirable and set a standard for
many young people looking for her guidance. Annie learned much
about halter and showmanship from Laurie, in addition to barrel
racing. In 1994, Annie set out down a more challenging road with
her great horse "Easy" and the Women's Professional Rodeo Circuit.
The two qualified for 6 consecutive Circuit Finals, winning the
Year End Championship in 1999. She also continues to be involved
with the Rocky Mountain horses, breaking and training for her
mother's breeding program and showing on occasion. Throughout
the years, she has been blessed with crossing paths with several
great horses.
| | | | Savanna
Those who know Savanna will think of her bright smile and feisty
personality when she comes to mind. Her 'never defeated' attitude
keeps her from feeling down and discouraged during the lessons
learned of barrel racing. Savanna's involvement began with a
couple of special ponies affectionately known as Granny &
Daisy. Both were senior citizens who adored and took great care of
her. She then moved up to "Funnin Around," another senior horse
with a long resume who showed her the ropes. In 2009, the purchase
of "Mayos April Doll," better known as "Sandy,"was made in
preparation for her starting High School Rodeo. Sandy is an
achomplished pole horse who has won state championships in both
Kentucky and Florida. In 2010, Savanna was surprised for her
15th birthday with the purchase of "Sockfullo Money" as her new
barrel horse. The two hit it off from the very beginning.
| | | | Wyatt
Wyatt is a confident child who certainly rules the roost at the
Peterson house. Usually seen like a streak of light flashing by at
a horse show, with his daddy close on his heels, he is an active
child who is always on the go. He has a crazy passion for tractors
and at 4 years old, will tell you all about his favorite
Massey and John Deere. Wyatt is never at a loss for words, doesn't
know a stranger and will keep you laughing at his clever and witty
comments. "Honey" was given to him by a wonderful family in TN and
has proven to be an absolute joy. Wyatt is crazy about her.
